Graves
- The Vicar’s permission must be obtained before anything is placed in the churchyard
- The cremated remains of a loved one must be interred by the Vicar/Priest
- The scattering of ashes in the Churchyard is not allowed
- The cremated remains cannot be buried in a new grave
- The maximum number of caskets in any one grave is 8
- The combined height of a Headstone must not be more that 39” including the base
- All Headstones should be made of stone – marble/granite
- The Church Council ruling is one Vase/Pot only per grave in addition to that/those incorporated in the base of the Headstone
- For health and safety reasons, broken vases and/or pots will be removed without permission
- Troughs or ornamental vases are not allowed
- Kerb stones are not permitted
- Shrubs, bedding plants, bulbs etc., are not allowed on graves
When a grave is new and a Headstone is awaited you may wish to mark the grave with a vase or pot; however, please do no use glass as this breaks easily (sometimes in the frost) and makes mowing and strimming very dangerous; instead please us plastic or pot
Garden of Remembrance
- Headstones, crosses, plaques, vases, etc., are not allowed in the Garden of Remembrance
- Double depths for caskets are not allowed
