Sermons from the Diocese of Liverpool

The Diocese of Liverpool is a family of Christians of all ages, many shades of opinion, and different stages in the Christian life. We are passionate about our mission and ministry for Christ in an area of the North West of England, serving a population of 1.53 million in an area of 389 sq miles.

Our 250 churches are spread across a region that is both rural and urban, stretching from Southport in the North to Widnes in the South, from Liverpool in the West across to Wigan in the East.

Bishop James is a regular contributor to Thought for the Day on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme. You can read the transcripts of his latest reflections on the diocese of liverpool website (see Links page) or you can listen to his reflections on the BBC Religion and Ethics Website

Bishop James speaks at a number of events and occasions throughout the year. You can find his most recent speeches and sermons at the following link, with previous year's in their archive.
