In England and Wales every resident of a parish is entitled to marry in her/his parish church. However if one or both of you is divorced then you can be remarried here only at the discretion of the Vicar. If you contact us you can start the conversation regarding your wishes and requirements. If both of you live outside the parish then you can qualify to marry here by:
Worshipping here on a regular basis or having a connection with the church in one or more of the following:
In the Church of England Marriage Measure a parent means: parent of either a legitimate or an illegitimate child; or an adoptive parent (This requires legal adoption); or a person “Who has undertaken the care and upbringing” of another person.

We are not (yet!) able to offer same sex marriages here. As an Inclusive Church we offer a Service of Dedication and Thanksgiving after a same sex civil marriage based on the same qualifying criteria as a wedding listed above.
